Kod programskog paketa Git, inačice namijenjene radu na operacijskom sustavu Fedora 13, otkriven je nov sigurnosni nedostatak. Riječ je o distributivnom sustavu za kontrolu revizija. Odlikuju ga skalabilnost i velika brzina rada. Nedostatak se javlja u web sučelju ovog programskog paketa, točnije u "gitweb.perl" skripti kod obrade korisničkih podataka. Udaljenom napadaču može omogućiti izvođenje XSS (eng. Cross Site Scripting) napada. Svim se korisnicima savjetuje primjena odgovarajuće nadogradnje.

Update Information:

Update to 1.7.3.4 release which fixes various issues, notably:

* cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw was found in the web interface of Git
distributed revision control system. A remote attacker could use this flaw to
execute arbitrary HTML or scripting code by providing a certain URL with
specially-crafted values of f and fp variables. (CVE-2010-3906)
