Propust je posljedica pogreške u "doubleValue()" metodi u FloatingDecimal.java prilikom pretvorbe broja "2.2250738585072012e-308". Udaljeni napadač može iskoristiti spomenuti nedostatak za izvođenje napada uskraćivanja usluga (eng. Denial of Service). Za više detalja preporuča se pregled originalne preporuke. RESOLUTION

HP has made the following software tool available to resolve the vulnerability.

The FPUpdater tool (Floating Point Updater) must be run to update the Java Development Kit (JDK) and/or the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). This tool can be used to update all versions of HP-UX Java.
