U radu programskog paketa openssl uočeni su i ispravljeni sigurnosni propusti. Spomenute propuste udaljeni napadač je mogao iskoristiti za otkrivanje osjetljivih informacija i izvođenje napada uskraćivanjem usluge (DoS napad).
